Fischler Training and Professional Development provides a wide range of educational
opportunities for training and development professionals in the workplace.
The course work has been based on the American Society for training and Development’s
Models of Excellence study of critical competencies for training professionals
and the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) competency
models. Courses are taught by NSU faculty and exemplary practitioners.
The training curriculum is designed to enable educators to add professional
certification areas and endorsements, renew current certification areas, increase
their levels of expertise within their fields, and to enable persons who wish
to change careers to enter the training and development field. The focus in
all programs is on the improvement of professional practice, the application
of current research and theory to professional work, the acquisition and enhancement
of leadership capacities, and the achievement of career objectives.
