Training and Professional Development provides online and onsite professional
development and training programs to new and master teachers and Para-Educators
working K-12, in urban and rural Pre-K-16 settings, as well as to faculty
in community colleges, universities, and adult education settings. We specialize
in developing educators to teach in distance learning formats.
The training curriculum is designed to enable educators to add professional
certification areas and endorsements, renew current certification areas, increase
their levels of expertise within their fields, and to enable persons who wish
to change careers to enter the education field. The focus in all programs
is on the improvement of professional practice, the application of current
research and theory to professional work, the acquisition and enhancement
of leadership capacities, and the achievement of career objectives.
