Description:
This course uses the Managing Organizational Change methodology; a structured approach to change implementation designed for managers who are responsible for carrying out major changes. Application of this disciplined planning methodology will lead to the development of implementation strategies that produce a significant reduction in resistance problems and a dramatic increase in support among those involved in changes. The focus will include how to develop one's ability to manage change, and how to develop a capacity for change in the organization.

Objectives:

  • Define key management terminology
  • Increase the productivity of those involved in the change process through role assessment and clarification.
  • Use a framework for assessing the strategic and tactical risks associated with any major change effort.
  • Recognize the three phases humans move through as they move toward new behaviors.
  • Define the importance of communication throughout the change process.
  • Increase overall effectiveness by incorporating a disciplined change-management methodology to change efforts.
