SAXophone is a global communication project that generates excitement and enthusiasm in the students and teachers who participate! Meetings are held online each month on different topics. The middle and high school students who participate, interact with students in schools around the world. To be successful, the students have to spend time preparing for each session and in follow-up activities. The topics and activities are designed so they can blend into the curriculum at each of the participating schools. That is why the topics are announced online at the beginning of the school year.

We hope you'll join us, first as an observing site and then as an actively participating site. Here are some important points to consider if you'd like to join us:

  • Go to the SAXophone Web site and print the current schedule. Share it with your teachers to find out who would like to participate and in which sessions.
  • If you wish to participate/observe go to the registration form fill it in and then submit it. (This applies to all schools wishing to participate in a SAXophone event)
  • Go to the site profile form, fill it in, and then submit it. (this applies to schools taking part in an event for the first time and schools with recent equipment changes).
  • For additional information, contact AL Mizell.
  • Make sure the teachers receive the detailed description and instructions to guide the students' preparation and follow-up activities. These sessions should be integrated into the regular school curriculum.
  • Print out and distribute the Teacher Evaluation Form and Student Evaluation Form. Please complete them after each session and return as directed.
Be ready to have an exciting experience!
