2007 CAREER ACADEMY SHOWCASE

PROMISING PRACTICE

Over one hundred educators from Florida, Arizona, Alabama and Alaska traveled to Palm Beach County to participate in the 2007 Career Academy Showcase.   This event showcased the career academies of seven Palm Beach County schools that were evaluated by the National Career Academy Coalition (NCAC).   West Boca Raton Community High School, John I. Leonard High School, Lake Worth Community High School, Forest Hill High School, William T. Dwyer High School and Palm Beach Gardens High School earned national recognition as a "Model Career Academy" after meeting and/or exceeding the National Career and Technical Education Academy standards. Palm Beach Lakes Community High School was also evaluated and earned recognition as a "Certified Career Academy" by the NCAC.
